I wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts on a fantastic product that I think would be incredibly beneficial for fishermen/women of all levels. As someone who has spent their entire life fishing, mostly in freshwater, I had the pleasure of trying out this prototype on my last Excel 5-day trip last year, and let me tell you, it worked like a charm!

Now, I mostly bass fish, and I've got this bad habit of tightening the drag down way too much. This isn't ideal when you're out in the ocean, as it often leads to losing a lot of fish. However, during this trip, I only lost one fish, and that was purely due to my laziness – I didn't re-tie after catching five fish, and the leader was frayed. Lesson learned!

This product is an incredibly easy way to check all points of connection, including the hooks. You simply set it for the weakest link, pull until the light reaches green, and if there's a problem, you'll find it before losing any gear or fish. It saved me on two different occasions when the line had frays. Instead of breaking on a fish, it broke during the test.

Needless to say, this product now has a permanent spot in my tackle box for every trip I go on, whether it's fresh or saltwater. I can't recommend it enough!
